2022 Full Moon Sound Bath at White Sands

Date

Jul 13 2022
Expired!

Time

8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Cost

$25.00

Please join Instruments of Healing for a Sound Bath under the Full Moon at White Sands National Park.

In 2021 this was a monthly event however due to rising costs, this event will only happen three times (May {Lunar Eclipse}, July, & September) in 2022.

The nature of this event is to allow you to experience Sound Therapy in nature surrounded by the dunes and the stars. I will guide you on a short meditation and allow you to enjoy the healing vibrations of the crystal singing bowls. As we come back from the sound journey you will be able to enjoy the full moon as it rises over the horizon.

Donations:

The event is donation based, and you will have to pay your entrance fee for the park.

* Suggested Donation is $25, but not required.

I have always made an effort to make this a monthly event but I can no longer do so due to the cost of gas; therefore, for me to create these three events, I need my fuel costs covered. I will be changing the graphic below once the goal is met to solidify the sound bath on that day.

Location & What to Bring:

The exact location of the sound bath within the park will be emailed to you on the day of the event.

This is an outdoor experience and I recommend that you prepare accordingly. It is not necessary to bring anything but I recommend bringing the following for your comfort: blankets, pillows, chairs, jackets, umbrellas, and water.

Parking will be in a general area and then you will have to walk through the dunes to reach our meeting place. The sound bath will begin promptly at 7:00 pm and conclude at 8:00 pm giving you plenty of time to enjoy the park before or after the experience.

Reserve your space ASAP!

* You may bring your crystals, amulets, water, elixirs, etc to charge with the vibrations of the crystal singing bowls.

What exactly is a sound bath?

Using crystal sound bowls, a trained sound healer will create a sound bath experience by vibrating the bowls with hypnotic tones and bouts of silence; thus, allowing your body to relax and giving you the ability to connect with your inner peace. In essence, as you relax, your body is covered in a blanket of sound through the various acoustic instruments being played.

Sound therapy is a powerful tool for healing your cells at a DNA level. Your body is made up of 60% of water and because water is a great conductor for sound, the vibrations penetrate deep within and create enough resonance for your cells to restructure themselves to their ideal state.

Is there science behind Sound Baths?

Sound healing and therapy have existed since ancient times. In ancient Greece, music was used to treat mental illness. The Australian Aboriginal people, for 40,00 years, used the didgeridoo for sound healing, and in Tibet, the singing bowls have been part of spiritual ceremonies for many many years.

The connection between sound and healing was chronicled in 1896 when American physicians discovered that certain types of music improved thought processes and spurred blood flow. This paved the way for creating new therapies with sound and treating a variety of illnesses. Sound therapy has evolved and morphed into many forms of healing that we see today but the fact that sound helps one heal remains true.

What do the experts say?

Marlynn Wei, M.D., J.D., a board-certified Harvard, and Yale-trained psychiatrist and therapist, suggests that sound healing has ancient roots in cultures all over the world. Sound healing is a form of focused awareness. The frequency at which sound bowls resonate through the body allows for higher levels of inner peace and relaxation. – Psychology Today

“It also has a particular effect on the brain because music or sound healing has a particular vibration,” the professor-in-residence in UCLA’s department of psychiatry. “It’s just one practice, a very ancient practice, that can be part of the portfolio of tools that leads to stress reduction.” on the TODAY show

“Sound healing helps the body do what it does best by realigning on a cellular level to heal itself,” explains Spaulding, a registered nurse, and a master sound healer. “It’s a scientific fact that everything in the universe is vibrating and everything has its resonant frequency. When those resonant frequencies get misaligned, that’s when disease or illness happens.” – Stewart Magazine
