Mountain Biking Club
Explore mountain biking trails around Los Alamos with a fun group of middle and high schoolers. This club will meet at different trailheads each day. Trail selection will be based on group ability, starting with easy trails and increasing in difficulty. Bring your own bike, helmet, snack, water, gloves, eye protection (sunglasses or safety glasses), and a rain jacket. If you’d like to participate, but don’t have your own gear, please contact PEEC before registering so we can help arrange loaner equipment.
This club meets daily, Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 AM – 12 PM. Parents will drop off and pick up their children at various trailheads in Los Alamos and White Rock. Participants must be entering grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 in fall 2022. Mountain Biking Club is limited to 10 participants and registration will open at 9 AM on Wednesday, March 9.
Addressing COVID-19: PEEC staff continues using recommendations from the New Mexico Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Camp Association, Association for Nature Center Administrators, and many other organizations to develop COVID-Safe practices for our programs. During registration, you will be asked to read and agree to a waiver statement. This includes details about participant requirements, such as behavior and other expectations, drop-off and pick-up procedures, and more. Please read the waiver carefully.
