Music and Movement
Outdoor musical fun for ages 0-6 and their caregivers! Music and Movement (M&M) is great for brain and body development. We use songs, scarves, bells, rhythm sticks, and more to count, clap, sing, jump, and wiggle together.
Our library system offers Music and Movement four times each week. We hold the program outside as often as possible. From March to October, we’ll be at Ashley Pond bandstand on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. We’ll meet our White Rock friends on Wednesdays either on the placita in front of the library or under the sheltered cement area at Piñon Park, near the splash pad. You can see both spots from the library parking lot.
Tuesday 9:30 am Ashley Pond bandstand
Wednesday 9:30 am White Rock Library placita or Piñon Park
Thursday 9:30 am Ashley Pond bandstand
Saturday 9:30 am Ashley Pond bandstand
As of February 23, masks are optional in Los Alamos County facilities, with some exceptions. Our winter weather policy for outdoor programs: on the morning of the program, if the temperature at the time of the program is predicted to be 32 degrees or lower, if it’s actively raining or seriously snowing, the program is canceled.
