Warren Scoggins and Sean Thomas tied for top prediction in the weekly pace race held on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument at 3 seconds off their predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Connor Orrison with a 8 second differential; Maddie Harms at 13 seconds off as well as the best female finisher in the 3 mile distance at 32:47; Chris Michel recording a 24 second differential and also the top finisher in the 1 mile race with a time of 9:53; Jan Velechovsky with a 46 second difference.
Holly Walker was the first female finisher in the 1 mile distance at 10:51.In the 3 mile race Erik Anderson was the top finisher recording a 21:41.Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the North Mesa Picnic Grounds on North Mesa Road next to the water tower on North Mesa. 1 mile paved and 5K hybrid distances will be available.
